By now, you've seen the instantly famous Tiger Woods ad featuring the voice of Earl Woods seeming to chastise his son for his "transgressions." Earl Woods, who died in 2006, is heard saying, "I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?"
The ad has, naturally, set off waves of controversy, with many approving of the ad's message, and many others saying it's an eerie, exploitative use of Earl Woods' words and memory. It's gotten people talking, which is exactly what an ad's supposed to do. But were the ad's creators, Nike and the ad agency Wieden + Kennedy, playing a bit fast and loose with the facts on this one?
As it turns out, possibly. ABC is reporting that the words from Earl Woods came from a 2004 documentary, and they weren't aimed at Tiger at all, but at Kutilda Woods, Earl's wife and Tiger's mother:

GIMME A "P"!!!

A group of Texas cheerleaders is in hot water after mixing their hot fluid in their teammates' beverages. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that several Saginaw girls poured urine into fellow cheerleaders' soda.
When the victims mentioned an abnormal flavor in their drinks, the alleged pee providers said that they had added tart candy to the concoction. Before long, however, word spread that urine was the real source of the unpleasant taste.
Aghast parents want the offenders permanently kicked off the squad, and the AP reports that the girls have been suspended. While they will not be allowed to participate until the end of the current term, many feel that the school should go further. "They shouldn't be allowed to represent Saginaw," one father told the Star-Telegram.
Toy FAIL
If you were a young girl looking for a toy baby to play with (I Wasn't), you’d probably be like, “Man, these dolls are awesome. But you know what it’s missing? A moving baby penis that squirts urine (I hope) at me!” Well, fictional reader girl, your dreams have come true. Meet the UK’s Baby Wee Wee, the worst toy ever.

BOOTY-ISM???
To confirm that the ever regal ansd sacred Masters golf Tournament has offiially become a circus... just before Tiger Woods teed off a plane circled the hallowed grounds of Augusta with a banner in tow that read, "TIGER... DID YOU MEAN BOOTYISM??
and another banner reading "SEX ADDICT? YEAH, RIGHT. SURE. ME TOO!"
and another banner reading "SEX ADDICT? YEAH, RIGHT. SURE. ME TOO!"
Tiger... I Am Your Father
Nike debut a new Tiger Woods ad. It features a stoic Tiger (stunner there) with the disembodied voice of his late father Earl Woods saying, "TIGER, I AM MORE PRONE TO BE INQUISITIVE, TO PROMOTE DISCUSSION. I WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT YOUR THINKING WAS. I WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT YOUR FEELINGS ARE. AND DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING?" (END QUOTE)
Creepy...? Yeah kinda'. Effective...? Compelling....? are other words you could apply. It's a ballsy move by Nike but I just don't know if this is the time for any ad featuring Tiger to come out... especially when the ad is trying to sell NOT a product but the spokesperson to the public. ALSO... consider that the late Mr. Woods was not the most honest and loyal husband either... just do it indeed.
