Don't Shoot the Messenger

According to court documents, 67-year-old Steven Cowan of the town of Vermont in Dane County became enraged while watching Palin dance on Monday evening. He felt Palin was not a good dancer.
He went to his bedroom and returned to the living room with a shotgun and blasted the TV, then pointed the gun at his wife, who managed to escape and call police. Tactical officers surrounded the house and finally managed to talk Cowan out Tuesday morning.
He has been charged second-degree reckless endangerment, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. It was unclear whether Cowan has retained an attorney.

The "Talented" Mr. Lang

TJ Lang wasn't always the uber popular, confident and seasoned lineman he is today... like us all, he had some growing pains but his came served with a side salad delivered by the rocket arm of "Mr. Rodgers" - Aaron not Fred. Observe.

You Give Justice a Bad Name

The rock star convinced a US judge not to jail his former band manager, busted for smuggling a massive 20 tons of marijuana, with a six-page hand-written plea for mercy. SEE HERE

The never-published letter was kept locked away for more than 20 years by the band's former tour manager, Rich Bozzett, who has included it in his new book charting the band's meteoric rise.

The biographer told RadarOnline.com the letter helped prevent Doc McGhee from being locked up in prison for the pot bust, which today would have a street value of more than $20 million.

On January 19, 1987 McGhee pleaded guilty to the charges in a North Carolina federal court for a crime that should have landed him 20 years or more in prison.

"You see, your honor, Doc did in fact commit a crime, and I realize the severity of his case," Bon Jovi wrote, But a man with his knowledge and commitment to the music industry can do so much good as a public servant. If I can be of any assistance please feel free to contact me at any time."

According to Bozzett, the judge complied and put McGhee on multi-year probation with the court and had Bon Jovi make good on his word.

The band started the "Make a Difference Foundation," played at "The Moscow Peace Festival" and at Broughton High School in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Kirk Hammett Hates Kids

Here's a video clip from a METALLICA concert that took place in Sydney, Australia last Thursday , where guitarist Kirk Hammett is seen kicking a large black balloon that accidentally smacks into a small child standing onstage and sends the child flying several feet into the audience. Despite early reports that the toddler was the son of frontman James Hetfield, it was apparently the daughter of either METALLICA's production or tour manager. (Note: The child was reportedly not injured during the incident.) Ironically Metallica was playing "Kick and Destroy" (jk)

Invest in Lipstick and Aquanet ASAP! Poison and Motley to Tour???

According to The Windsor Star, POISON singer Bret Michaels announced during Saturday's solo concert at Caesars Casino in Windsor, Ontario, Canada that POISON and MÖTLEY CRÜE will celebrate their 25th and 30th anniversaries, respectively, in 2011 by joining forces for a tour.

No further information is currently available.

In a February 2004
online posting, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx shot down reports that his then-band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION would be touring later that year with POISON and KISS. "No way in fucking hell would we (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION or MÖTLEY CRÜE) ever, ever tour with a fucking band like POISON," he wrote. "We have had talks with KISS and I told them very clearly that we would not do the tour if they used POISON. That would be the death of us... I will not be attached to that kind of fake bullshit..." When questioned about his comments in a May 2004 interview with the Stamford Advocate, Sixx explained, "I was in negotiations and said it depends who else is on the tour. If you're going to do a nostalgia thing, we're not interested. If you go get JET or THE DARKNESS, it sounds like fun. All of a sudden they come back with KISS, the BRIDES and POISON! There ain't no way in hell I'm doing that tour. I will not play with fucking POISON. There are followers and leaders. I'm not into followers."

BACH BUSTED!

According to QMI Agency, former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach was charged with assault after a wine glass was smashed at a downtown Peterborough, Ontario, Canada bar and a staff member was bitten, police say.
Police said a man was at Riley's Old Towne Pub early Monday morning when he got into a dispute with the staff and was asked to leave at 12:02 a.m.
He walked to the door carrying a glass of wine, police said, and when he was told he couldn't leave with it he threw it at the front doors, shattering the glass.
Police said a staff member restrained him until officers arrived, and while they waited a scuffle ensued and the man bit him on his left hand.
When officers searched him they found 1.95 grams of marijuana.
Bach, 42, has been charged with assault, possession of marijuana and mischief.
