My Protsests Are Up Here

This past weekend, a mid-day protest featuring topless women failed to get the response they wanted. One of the organizers was 20-year-old Ty MacDowell. In her mind, the point of the protest was "that a topless woman out in public shouldn't attract any more attention than a man who walks around without his shirt." It didn't take long for the crowd to significantly out-number the protesters.
Adrianna Tibkey said "Marching was really, really fun. It's nice to know that going topless is legal here." True. There's no law against it in the state of Maine. No one was arrested. Not even the 500 guys with cameras. MacDowell added "I'm amazed -- actually enraged -- at the fact that there's a wall of men watching. Lots of people were taking pictures without even asking."
